Indyx, Inc. (“Indyx,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and how we share it.
For purposes of this policy, “Platform” refers to our iOS and Android apps and our website (www.myindyx.com). Through the Platform, we provide tools to digitize your wardrobe, style outfits, hire expert stylists, and access related services (the “Service”).
By using the Service or accessing the Platform, you confirm that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to be bound by it along with our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Platform and Service.
1. Information We Collect
Account Identifiers
When you register, we collect:
Email address (required)
Name (required)
Location (optional — only if you choose to provide it)
Device & Usage Information
When you visit the Platform or use our apps, we automatically collect:
Browser and device type
Internet Service Provider (ISP)
Referring and exit pages
Date and time of access
Device location (only if you choose to share it)
Other information related to your use of the Platform
Commercial & Account Information
In connection with your use of the Service, we may collect:
Payment information and purchase history
Selling history
Customer service communications
Marketing and relationship management information
Information You Provide Directly
We may also collect personal information you share when contacting customer support or using our styling services.
Email Account Data (with your explicit permission)
If you choose to connect your email account, we access it solely to identify purchase confirmation emails and add those items to your Indyx wardrobe. With your permission, we collect:
Email metadata (sender address, date, subject line) — used to identify purchase confirmations
Email body content — retained to support accurate product extraction and reprocessing if a parsing error occurs
Structured product data extracted from those emails (product name, price, brand, image URL) — added to your wardrobe
We access only emails in the “Purchases” category. We do not access your contacts, attachments, non-purchase emails, or any other email data.
Our use of data received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy (https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including its Limited Use requirements.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information to:
Provide access to the Platform and Service
Communicate with you
Maintain your digital wardrobe and deliver related services
Process orders and membership registrations
Provide technical support
Store your preferences and recognize you on return visits
Administer and secure the Platform and our services
Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes
Establish, exercise, or defend our legal rights
If you have connected an email account, we use that data solely to populate your Indyx wardrobe. We do not use your email data for advertising, to build profiles beyond wardrobe management, or for any unrelated purpose. We do not use data from Google APIs to train generalized AI or machine learning models.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following limited circumstances:
To comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes
In response to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request
To protect our rights or the rights of others
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required to comply with applicable law or to defend our legal rights.
If you have connected an email account, email content is processed by our AI parsing service to extract product data. No Indyx employee or contractor has access to your email message content except as needed to operate or improve the parsing service, as required by law, or to investigate a verified security incident. We do not transfer Google user data to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers.
Email content collected through a connected email account is retained only as long as needed to support accurate processing and service improvement. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 4).
4. Your Rights & Data Deletion
You have meaningful control over your data:
Disconnect your email account at any time from within the Indyx app. Authorization tokens are revoked and deleted immediately upon disconnection.
Request complete deletion of your Indyx account and all associated data, including email data, directly in the app under Profile - Account Settings - Permanently Delete Account. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
5. Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information. All data transmitted between our service and third-party APIs is protected using industry-standard encryption.
6. Policy Updates
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our business practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
